In our 8 days Safari, Lake Manyara was one of the National Park that we visited. We had one night only inside Lake Manyara and it sounded enough. This is one of the parks that, when we entered it, we started to enjoy ground water forest where a lot of baboon troops are around the way to greet you.

As we were doing game drive; large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate are very common on these grassy plains. In the Manyara beautiful landscape a belt of acacia woodland is favoured haunt of Manyara's tree climbing lions and tusked elephants.

We didn't have chance to see the tree climbing lions, but we asked our guide why is it famous Lake Manyara is famous for tree Climbing lions and not Ngorongoro or Serengeti, the answer was simple "Is still a mystery" this was the answer from our guide

Lake Manyara is also one of the great parks for bird watchers. They say there are about 400 species of birds, and if you are a bird lover and get a good guide you can see up to 80 - 100 birds in our day. In our group we had someone with an electrical device which amplified the sound of birds which helped the guide to identify them. It was such a nice experience.

We stayed in a campsite inside the park. Having our own chef and camping crew really made our life easy. We enter the park around 9:00am and left the camping crew in a camping site. In the afternoon hours, we returned for hot lunch before moving out in the evening.

We woke up very early next morning to start the day as we were moving outside the park at least to have the early morning game drive experience that we missed as we came around 9:00am a day before.

Just to conclude my beautiful experience of Lake Manyara - this is a lovely national. One day sounded perfect as I am not a bird lover, but one regret I had is that I didn't have my own binocular - something that I think was important. I advice at least each person has his own binocular including the guide to enjoy Lake Manyara.
Thanks to our great guide Mr. Gedion and our Chef: Josphat.
