Gorilla Trekking Volcanoes National Park Rwanda
Rwanda offers a chance of lifetime to view the endangered Mountain Gorillas in their untouched natural habitat in Volcanoes National Park. Rwanda is one of the only three places/countries left in the world where you can find these great apes, but none offers a better experience than Rwanda because of her much better developed infrastructure, general organization and a magnificent scenery of the Virunga Volcano Mountains, and rolling lush hills.

Day 1: Travel to Volcanoes National Park
Pick up from Kigali City, which can be either after breakfast or lunch, and drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park, home of the Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. it is a 2 to 3 hours drive, and transfer to your accommodation to relax, have a meal, and spend the night.
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Expeditions in Volcanoes National Park
Have an early cup of tea/coffee at 6.30am, and thereafter transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi. At the headquarters you are allocated a ranger, and the gorilla family you shall track. Note that Volcanoes National Park has up to 10 habituated Mountain Gorilla families, and each family is allocated not more than 8 tourists for tracking in a day. After allocating group the rangers brief you about the DOs and DON'Ts of gorilla trekking. From the park headquarters transfer to the starting point for gorilla trekking. It is here you will find porters for hire to carry your bags and also help you during the steep climb to find the mountain gorillas. After close to an hour of viewing these magnificent apes, return and transfer to your accommodation to relax and rest the night.
Day 3: Transfer to Kigali for a city tour
After an early breakfast, check out and travel to Kigali. Set out for tour of one of the most thriving and progressive capital cities of Africa. Among other places to visit is the Kigali Memorial Center, where a poignant exhibition recalls Rwanda's mid-1990s genocide and testifies to the country’s remarkable resilience. You also get to visit the local markets where you could purchase some souvenirs such as crafts and traditional clothing.
End the trip with a drop to your hotel or airport.
