16 DAYS GAME DRIVE -LAKE MANYARA / SERENGETI/ LAKE EYASI / NGORONGORO CRATER /TARANGIRE /LAKE NATRON & ZANZIBAR

Each year around the same time, the circular great wildebeest migration begins in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area of the southern Serengeti in Tanzania and loops in a clockwise direction through the Serengeti National Park and north towards the Masai Mara reserve in Kenya. This migration is a natural phenomenon determined by the availability of grazing. The initial phase lasts from approximately January to March, when the calving season begins – a time when there is plenty of rain-ripened grass available for the 260,000 zebra that precede 1.7 million wildebeest and the following hundreds of thousands of other plains game, including around 470,000 gazelles

DAY 1: - Arrive in Kilimanjaro Arrive in Kilimanjaro 2pm transfer to the hotel in Arusha, the safari capital of northern Tanzania, nestled at the foot of Mt Meru. The rest of the day is yours to rest relax and get ready for the extraordinary adventure that lies ahead Overnight.

DAY 2: Arusha-lake Manyara National Park Tree Climbing Lions & Pink Flamingoes After breakfast you will depart for Lake Manyara. Nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment, the park is recognized for its incredible beauty. You can see many game animals such as buffalo, elephant, giraffe, impala, hippo and others. Eventually you will arrive and stay overnight at beautiful Lake Manyara, which Ernest Hemingway once called the “The loveliest lake in Africa.” The national park is home to the unique tree-climbing lions of Lake Manyara, which you’ll have the chance to see lounging in the high tree branches and overnight.

DAY 3: Lake Manyara-Lake Natron After breakfast drive to Lake Natron. It is a tedious journey through rough and dusty road (track). The Scenery there is beautiful especially the Ngarasero Escarpment, waterfalls, the Gorge, Oldonyo Lengai (still active Volcano) panoramic view and Flamingoes in the lake also it’s another chance for you to decide to Trek we can do arrange. Spend your day tour for visiting these unique attractions, Dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: Lake Natron-Serengeti National Park After breakfast we will head towards the Serengeti National Park, leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains, rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see. We head to the Lobo area which is located just north of the Seronera area (central Serengeti National Park). The wildebeest migration, normally pass through the Lobo area every year around July / August en-route to the Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve and again in late October / November en-route to the southern Serengeti National Park.

DAY 5: Full day Serengeti Game Drives early morning game drive takes you again into the protected Serengeti refuge. The breathtaking savannahs are a stunning backdrop to a diverse and abundant wildlife population throughout the entire year. On your return to the camp, a leisurely lunch and time to relax before setting out on the afternoon game drive. After dinner tonight, listen to the sounds of the wilderness and gaze at the changing colors of the African skies overnight.

DAY 6: Serengeti National Park- Migration at Mara River After breakfast we head towards the far northern reaches of the Serengeti National Park, also known as the Wagakuria. We will do a game drive en-route from the Lobo area to the Wagakuria area. As we head north, good sightings of giraffe, plain game, herds of buffalo and elephants can often be seen. We arrive in time for lunch at the lodge and after lunch will we enjoy an afternoon game drive in the area. The wildebeest migration can normally be found in the Wagakuria area from August to October, depending on rainfall patterns. A long stretch of the Mara River runs through the northern Serengeti National Park and the Mara River provides the migration with its most difficult obstacle. Witnessing the frantic herds of wildebeest crossing the Mara River is amazing overnight.

DAY 7: Serengeti – Olduvai Gorge – Ngorongoro Crater early morning game drive in the Serengeti it is the best time to see the animals as they get out from their hide for the morning preys or return from their night hunt. After breakfast you leave for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. On the way you will stop at the Olduvai Gorge where anthropologists Louis and Mary Leakey made many significant discoveries, contributing to the theory that human life originated in Africa. Arrive to Ngorongoro. You will descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater on World Heritage Site holding a permanent population of more than 30 000 animals. As only very few of those migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. The Crater is also home to the rare black rhino almost extinct in Tanzania. With a bit of luck you will see the ‘Big Five’ during one game drive. Overnight.

DAY 8:Ngorongoro Crater – Tarangire National Park After breakfast we depart for Tarangire, Tanzania’s third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. You will spend 2 x nights at Tarangire National Park. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, and cheetah and up to six thousand elephant.

DAY 9: Karatu – Lake Eyasi – Hadzabe tribes-Arusha Early morning we depart to the village for local hunting experience with Hadzabe and Datonga tribes. This is not a mere performance. The Bushmen rely on these techniques to survive and you’ll need to be very attentive and at times quiet, while they demonstrate their use of locally made poisons in incapacitating the poor creatures on which they depend for survival. We return to the Tindiga Tented Lodge for a late breakfast and we then travel to the Ngorongoro Conservation area. Late afternoon drive to a Masai Village. Visitors meet the village elders, get an insight into the Masai way of life, visit the bomas, learn about their prized cattle and visit the local school, then after you will drive back to Arusha and overnight.
