Uganda is a multicultural society with a diversity of cultures in one Nation; Different cultural Experiences can be encountered on this 12 days Uganda Tour taking you to the North West, North and Eastern Uganda. This trip will have a mixture of culture and Wildlife where you will be able to spot different species in their Jungles Such as Lions, Elephants, and Giraffes among others.

Day 1: Arrival in Uganda

As we welcome you to the pearl of Africa, Uganda is gifted by nature. Pick up from Entebbe International airport or at any location of your choice by our professional guides  and drive to the Hotel.

Day 2: Transfer to Masindi

After a nice breakfast you embark on your journey to Masindi through the Rhino trekking. Visit an orphanage (family spirit) where hand cupped children live and are being taken care of by the organizations and friends or well wishers from different countries. The prison an option to visit for basket making and crafts, food and later to the fruit market.

Day 3: Traditional Dance Group & Murchison F.N.P

After breakfast, you will drive to a small village called Nabyeya where you will interact with the local people to experience the start of Uganda Culture. These people have a dance group playing their music using very local instruments and the sound produced is very beautiful to the ear so much that you can’t resist joining the dance. You will also witness people emerging from the nearby villages as part of Uganda culture with a desire to shake your hands! We lunch at this place today courtesy of the Nurse of Nabyeya Forestry College. Drive to Murchison Falls National Park that  lies at the northern end of the Albertine Rift Valley, where the sweeping Bunyoro escarpment tumbles into vast, palm-dotted savanna. First gazetted as a game reserve in 1926, it is Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area, hosting 76 species of mammals and 451 birds. Here you will have a chance to stop for en route lunch and then proceed to the park as you spot some animals like baboons, black and white colobus monkey, Jackson heartbeast in antelope family and many others.

Day 4:  Morning Game Drive, Afternoon visit the Waterfalls

Have early breakfast, and prepare to cross the ferry for a morning game drive with your guide who will help you spot the plethora of wildlife found in the Park, you will be able to spot a lot of the African animal wildlife for example: elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, different species of antelope and many tropical birds. They are all there! You will drive back to the hotel for lunch.
After lunch you take a trip to the water fall at 2 pm. On your way to the water fall you can hike for 45 minutes to Visit the Top of the falls. This is an experience that brings all the senses into play: watch waves of white water tumble hypnotically through this six-meter chasm, listen to the roar, taste the spray on your face and feel the rock shake beneath your feet. Sheer sensory overload! Don’t dare miss this!

Day 5:  Morning Game Drive & Transfer to Lira

Have your packed breakfast and prepare to cross the Victoria Nile for short morning safari drive to spot what we missed yesterday.

After lunch, we drive to Lira a journey that will take not less than 4 hours. Here we shall visit local food markets, crafts shops and family friends. Experience the Uganda culture with people from the war conflict survivors guided by a Friend known as Florence Angom. She will give you a presentation about Upendo organization and how people benefit from it through craft making!

Day 6: Cultural Experience

Here you have an opportunity to share your experience with war conflict survivors from northern Uganda after visiting the Barlonyo massacre that happened in 2002. Enjoy the traditional dance group with local lunch and also make a basket or mat for yourself before saying good bye to Ugandan friends. Drive back to the hotel after the function for relaxation.

Day 7: Transfer to Sipi Falls Mount Elgon

We drive towards Sipi above Soroti and Kumi and looking gradually over Mount Elgon (4300m) By early afternoon, before we reach Mbale, we drive up the mountain road and get a good impression of the plateaus, which is the setting for the three impressive Sipi waterfalls. We are housed in the exciting Lacam lodge with a fabulous view. In the afternoon we can relax and have time to enjoy a drink and the view of the sunset.

Day 8:  Hiking to the Water Fall, Drive to Mbale

After your relaxed morning, we gather together to start our hike. You can choose between a short or longer route to the water fall through fruit plantations and villages. One water fall is perfect for taking a quick shower and you can even enjoy a cold swim.

Another hike for seven hours takes us to five waterfalls, a cave and most beautiful scenery passing through plenty of villages and fruit and coffee plantations. Whichever hike we choose today will be a beautiful day in paradise. Visitors will have coffee making experience in the small village and also lunch here. Drive to Mbale after lunch for an overnight and have dinner with Stephen’s relatives.

Day 9:  Drive to Jinja, Visit Craft Shops & Take a Boat to the Source of the Nile

After a relaxed breakfast, drive towards Jinja a journey that takes about 5 hours and have lunch in town and visit hand craft shops which are adjacent the restaurant.

After lunch, you will check in at the hotel and take boat trip on the source of the Nile afterwards. You will have dinner in one of the best restaurants called 2 FRIENDS which is in the walking distance from guest house. Here, you can relax at the pool!

Day 10: Drive Kampala & take a City Tour

After breakfast, we drive from Jinja to Kampala. We shall have a city tour to visit the local food and hand crafts markets, Kasubi tombs where they bury the kings from the Buganda kingdom with good stories about the monarchies in Uganda about the kingship, and Gaddafi Mosque and have lunch in Kampala.

Day 11: Drive to the Equator for the Water Experience

We start our tour to the equator and at this point, there are two cement circles marking the equator line and it is worth stopping if you are traveling to Masaka or Kampala for a photo moment. Also watch a demonstration by local entrepreneurs on how water swirls in opposite directions in the northern & southern hemispheres at the equator line. Another reason that makes the equator worthwhile stop are the great shopping bargains.

The point has got several craft shops and art galleries run by individuals and organizations. These craft stalls sell souvenirs and handmade products while some with marks talking about the Equator. It will not be inconveniencing if you bought a T-shirt with words ‘I crossed the Uganda Equator’ Continue with your journey, back to Kampala.

Day 12: Kampala City Tour

You will have the great experience of Kampala and here you can visit the Uganda Museum or the Gaddafi Mosque (optional) or the kasubi tombs there after transfer to the Airport for your flight.
