This is a 13 Day Self-Drive experience in Namibia, a hint of the Kalahari Desert, travelling the highest dunes in the world, moving to Swakopmund where the desert and the coast come together. You will then make you way along the Skeleton coast, afterwards moving inland to the dramatic and scenic Spitzkoppe. You will move through to Etosha which is one of Africa’s best game viewing destinations. Lastly you will spend one night in the Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. Accommodation used in the safari is mid-range lodging and glamping (Glamorous Camping).
Day 1: Kalahari Anib Camping2Go After your arrival one of our representatives will meet you in the arrival hall. All your travel vouchers will be handed to you and you will also receive a briefing of your vehicle. Afterwards you will depart for the beautiful Kalahari Savannah of southern Namibia. You can join the lodge for an additional afternoon game drive on their private reserve, if the time permits. Animals like springbok, oryx, red hartebeest, black-backed jackal, porcupine, steenbok, ostrich and many more inhabit the acacia and grass savannah that cover the red sand dunes of the Kalahari Desert. This will be the perfect introduction to the beauty of the southern section of Namibia. Please take note that you will enjoy a lovely dinner at the restaurant. Day 2: Namib Desert Camping2Go After a hearty breakfast you will depart for Sossusvlei with spectacular scenery along the way. You can lunch en-route and depending on the number of stops for photographs you will arrive in the afternoon. You can join the lodge for an additional nature drive. You will gather for a lovely dinner and dinner will be served at the lodge. Day 3: Namib Desert Camping2Go After breakfast you can embark on a excursion to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. You can stop at the scenic Dune 45 along the way and spend a couple of hours at both Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. Some of the dunes in the area are a few hundred meters high but the view from the top for those that dare is one you will never forget. You can also explorer Sesriem Canyon this afternoon. Day 4: Indulge Swakopmund After breakfast you will depart for Swakopmund via the Namib Naukluft National Park. En-route to Swakopmund you will pass through Walvis Bay, Namibia’s major harbor town is well known for the lagoon and its prolific bird life. Day 5: Indulge Swakopmund After breakfast you will depart for a scenic desert fat bike tour. You will experience breathtaking scenery of the oldest desert in the world in a fully ecological way without noise or air pollution and even riding up along the top of Namibia’s famous dunes from which you will enjoy once in a lifetime views of desert, sea and Swakopmund.. This tour is for both the scenic appreciator and adrenalin seeking adventurist. The scenic desert tour is around 12 - 14km long and includes cycling from Swakopmund town centre, along the dry Swakop river bed and up and down stunning dunes. (Includes: Fat Biking Desert Tour) Day 6: Cape Cross Lodge After an early morning breakfast, you will depart northwards along the Skeleton Coast. You can stop en-route to visit a shipwreck and also visit the massive Cape Fur Seal colony at Cape Cross Seal Reserve. You will spend the night at Cape Cross Lodge where you will gather for a lovely dinner and a relaxing evening. Day 7: Spitzkoppe Mountain Tented Camp Your journey will continue towards the Spitzkoppe where you will overnight in a self-catering unite at Spitzkoppe Mountain Tented Camp. You will have the opportunity to explore this fascinating landscape and this scenery allows great photographic opportunities. Spitzkoppe is a world-famous mountain oasis in the Namibia Desert with unique and oversized boulders, secret caves and archaeologist sites, endemic bird life and scenery that will allow you to spend the night in peace and tranquillity. Day 8: Etosha Safari Camping 2Go Today you will depart for Etosha National Park where will spend the next 4 nights. Day 9: Etosha Safari Camping 2Go You can enter the park and do your own game drives in your own car. Today will be dedicated to wildlife sightings. You can also relax at the pool or camp waterhole between the drives. Day 10: Shikamasha Etosha Game Lodge After breakfast you will drive through Etosha National Park in order to reach your next lodge. Day 11: Shikamasha Etosha Game Lodge Today you will join the lodge for a full day game drive in one of their safari vehicles (Inludes: Etosha Excursion with the lodge) Day 12: Urban Camp Today you will make your way back to Windhoek, where you will spend your last night. Day 13: Departure (Includes: Airport Transfer)
